And since you tagged me, I will respond with what I can.

1.One book that changed my life: The Power of Myth by Joseph Campbell (the book was crap. See through and shallow arguments, but it was my first encounter with anti christian thought in a seminar group. It is what first spawned my interest in apologetics and kept me from going the way of the relativist

2.One book I have read more than once: The Great Divorce by C.S. Lewis (I "borrowed" that book from Quiroz more times than I can remember throughout college and is still a favorite)

3. One book I would want on a desert island: Besides the Bible? Anything by C.S. Lewis... HUGE fan

4. One book that I tried to read but never finished for one reason or another: Faust by Goethe (I was tring to read it in the original German, showoff)

5. One book that made me cry: Haven't found that book yet

6. One book I wish I had written: HA! Any of the Harry Potter books... I would be a billionaire!

7. One book I wish had never been written: So I kissed dating goodbye by joshua harris (what a piece of crap)

8. A classic that I love: hmm, what defines a classic?

9. Longest book I've ever read: I would have to count pages, but probably The Brothers Karamazov

10. Booktag five other people: Nah, but I would love to get some recommendations on some good books

11. One book I would like to see made into a movie: This came to fruition just recently... The Lion, the Witch, and the Warobe. I knew about this one before they had found a dirctor. Lisa and I were the first in line.

12. My current favorite: Not so much a favorite, but right now I am reading Walking from East to West by Ravi Zacharias. Although I like him as a speaker more.

13. One young adult book I always recommend: Always The Chronicles, anything by Dahl, and to spite all the Evangelicals who rage against it... Harry Potter

14. Genre(s) I tend to ignore: horror/sci fi, and to some degree fiction. The truth is strange and scary enough

Anyway, I could definitely use some recommendations. Right now I am looking for some good books on theology to expand my limited knowlege. Erik, any suggestions? I am always scared of getting the "wrong" books i.e. too gnostic, too out thereAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17681596.post-1161782874331546952006-10-25T07:27:00.000-06:002006-10-25T07:27:00.000-06:00erik,i've added your recommendation to my amazon w...erik,
i've added your recommendation to my amazon wish list...it does look like something i would enjoy reading. thanks! -pjnpamelahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03161119497849881547noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17681596.post-1161777563401686812006-10-25T05:59:00.000-06:002006-10-25T05:59:00.000-06:00Pam,You've got to get your hands on a copy of Will...Pam,

You've got to get your hands on a copy of William T. I believe the second chapter was all about a turtle trying to cross a road, and I remember reading that and thinking, how metaphorical! :) Love ya Pammie!Dawnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08132178482203482101noreply@blogger.com
