You know, I was at Addison Airport for a training flight that day. We were watching it on TV and as I preflighted to plane my instructor saw the second plane crash into the building. We were in such shock that we actually went out to our plane, did the run up, and got on the radio before we realized that all air traffic was grounded. I don't know what we were thinking. One of the most devastating event to happen to the USA in a long time happens and we go right back to business.
We went back inside and watched the TV in disbelief. There was actually a guy there in the flight room who had been in the world trade center during the first bombing in 1993. He told us how it took hours for everyone to evacuate down the stairs.
